Join our cohort training teams which start every two week. If you only have a full, clean Class 1 licence ,and you’ll need to have had it for 2 years to get your passenger endorsement which is required for bus driving, we can train you to drive our buses!

Our training takes up to 5 weeks. The training rate is currently $23.65 per hour and you’ll be in training for 40 hours per week. When you graduate, not only will you be a newly fledged bus driver, you’ll also earn $30.00 per hour.

In your training programme, you’ll not only sit and pass your Class 2 Learners licence and then your full Class 2, you will learn about the types of buses and how to safely drive them. What to do if you have a problem, how to care for the buses and passengers including health and safety and customer service training.

We’ll teach you all about Snapper and bus fares, what routes you will be driving and how amazing it is to connect the people of the Wellington region.

Once you are trained to be a bus driver, you’ll need never to be out of work again!
